Rose Kawakami is a first generation Japanese immigrant to Kinsky, arriving to the town during her first year of middle school. While she was heavily ostracized by most, she eventually came to know Katherine Wilkins and ended up becoming the fourth member of the Kinsky Group.
In high school, she got to meet the basketball player Aaron McNamara. The two became close friends until, at the suggestion of mutual friend Rodrigo Huerta, they began dating and became a long-term couple.
