Katherine Joanne Wilkins, known by her nickname “Kat”, was born to business magnate Gordon Wilkins and his wife Cassandra. In 2006 Gordon moved his family to Kinsky, his original hometown, and enrolled Katherine at the elementary school there. It was at this school that Katherine met Cole Mulaney and Lukas Schrodden, and the three grew an inseparable bond. She is notably a member of the Kinsky High Choir, alongside Sadja Ayoub.
